DUILA’s IMPACT and NEXT STEP members are helping make a local Human Options shelter house into a “home.” 40 victims of domestic violence – women with children – rely on this confidential location for safety, counseling, and support for 45 days after fleeing their abusive situation.

Any Orange County child or youth who contributes items listed on the Shelter’s “wish list” will be invited to attend a barbeque as they drop off their donations. We’re counting on IMPACT and NEXT STEP members to encourage donations from families attending their schools, to load the truck with donations, and to make sure the barbeque is a good time for all!

This years event will be held on May 17, 2008 at Hart park in Orange.
